Title: A Study on Dyeing Milk/Cotton Blended Fabric with Reactive Dye Argazol NF
Abstract: For the poor alkali resistance of milk fiber, Argazol neutral fixing reactive dye was selected to dye milk/cotton blended fabric. The results showed that dyeing temperature had a greater effect on dye-uptake.When a dye concentration of 2% was required,The rates of dye-uptake were all about 77% under the conditions of dyeing 90 min at 75 ℃, dyeing 60min at 85 ℃ and dyeing 45min at 95 ℃. It was more suitable for milk/cotton blended fabric that dyeing it at low-temperature for a long time. The optimum condition of effect was dyeing 90min at 75 ℃.Neutral fixing reactive dye Argazol was suitable for dyeing light or medium color on milk/cotton blended fabric with good fastness. The build up was better when dye concentrations was less than 4%.
