Title: Efficacy Observation of Adjunctive Therapy of Alprostadil Injection for Diabetes in the Elderly
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of adjunct therapy of alprostadil injection for diabetes in the elderly.METHODS:Patients conforming to inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group(n=34.) Observation group were additionally treated with PGE1 injection for 15 days.Nail fold microcirculation examination was performed.Platelet aggregation and index of safety in two groups were observed before and after treatments.RESULTS:Compared with control group, platelet aggregation was inhibited significantly in observation group(P0.05);score of nail fold microcirculation, score of perivascular conditions and total score value were significantly decreased after treatment(P0.05.) CONCLUSION: PGE1 injection is safe and effective in the treatment of diabetes in the elderly. The effective mechanism may be associated with the improvement of microcirculation and inhibition of platelet aggregation.
