Title: Analysis on Communicable Disease Epidemic Dynamic from 1965 to 2004 in Zigui County
Abstract: Objective This study was conducted to understand the occurrence and epidemic characteristic of communicable disease to provide the scientific evidence for constituting measures and strategies of prevention and treatment. Methods The epidemic data of communicable disease between 1965 and 2004 was statistically analyzed to understand variation of incidence and mortality rate. Results The incidence and mortality rate of communicable disease greatly declined as a whole, especially zoonosis and respiratory communicable disease remarkably decreased. While occurrence of sexually transmitted disease (STD) increased. It remained at higher level although incidence rate of intestinal communicable disease had been controlled to a certain extent. The spectrum of communicable disease was changed from measles,epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis in the past to acquired immure deficiency syndrome(AIDS)、virus hepatitis at present. Conclusion Emphasis should be placed on the prevention and control of virus hepatitis, diarrhea, tuberculosis, STD and AIDS in Zigui county.
