Title: Influence of immobilized Penicillium sp. on decolorization of reactive brilliant blue KN-R
Abstract: Effects of Penicillium sp. X5 immobilized by calcium alginate or carrageenan on decolorization of reactive brilliant blue KN-R were studied under different conditions of culture time, temperature, pH, rotation speed, and dye concentration. The results showed that these two kinds of immobilized reagents of Penicillium sp. had good decolorization effect. The optimum culture time, temperature, pH, and rotation speed for decolorization of reactive brilliant blue KN-R were 48 h, 30℃, 4.0, and 150 r/min,respectively. The dye concentration had definite influence on the decolorization.Decolorization effect of Penicillium sp. immobilized by calcium alginate were better than that by carrageenan. The immobilized Penicillium sp. could be reused for many times after decolorizing.
