Title: Robust Two-Degree-of-Freedom Smith Predictor Control for Time-Delay System
Abstract: A robust two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) Smith predictor control scheme for time-delay process system is proposed to improve the performance of the conventional Smith predictor. The proposed control scheme, having two-degree-of-freedom, consists of the conventional Smith predictor and robust controller based on internal model control (IMC) principle. It can effectively reject parameter variations and disturbance. Good dynamic response performance and robustness can be achieved simultaneously. The control algorithm is simple, and can be realized easily. Theoretical analysis and simulation results have shown the validity of the proposed control scheme.
