Title: Cellulase production by solid-state fermentation with multi-strains
Abstract: Cellulase production efficiency can be improved via the mixed culture solid-state fermentation. In order to obtain high cellulase activity,alkali-treated sugarcane bagasse supplemented with wheat bran was used as enzyme fermentation substrate. The response surface method was introduced to optimize the solid-state mixed-fermentation with Trichoderma reesei CICC40359 and Penicillium decumbens SMX. The results indicate that the filter paper enzyme activity has an maximum value of 101. 825 FPU / g under the following conditions: temperature is 28 ℃; mass and volume ratio of material to water is 1 ∶ 2. 5 g / mL; V( Penicillium) ∶ V( Trichoderma) = 3 ∶ 1, m( bagasse) ∶ m( wheat bran) = 2 ∶ 1,inoculum dose is 0. 08 g / mL and fermentation time is 3 d,which provides a basis for the next optimization work. The fermentation liquor showed high sugar content when the enzyme activity was high. These results indicate that simultaneous enzyme and ethanol production may be an effective approach for the economic production of bioethanol.
