Title: The expressions of cyclooxyenase-2,vascular endothelial growth factor-C and CD105 and their clinicopathological significance in laryngeal carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expressions of cyclooxyenase-2(COX-2),vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C)and CD105 and their clinicopathological significance in laryngeal carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry methods(S-P) were applied to detect the differential expression of COX-2,VEGF-C and CD105 in the tissues of 40 cases laryngeal cancinoma. The correlations among the expression of COX-2,VEGF-C and CD105-MVD and their clinicopathological significance were statistically analyzed with SPSS 11.0. Results The positive expression rates of COX-2,VEGF-C in laryngeal carcinoma were 80.0% and 72.5%,the CD105-MVD was 8.63±1.85.COX-2,VEGF-C and CD105 were high expressed in laryngeal carcinoma and were correlated with lymph node metastasis and TNM(P0.01);MVD in the group with VEGF-C positive was higher than that in the group with VEGF-C negative (P0.01),there was significantly statistic correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and CD105 in the laryngeal carcinoma; MVD in the group with COX-2 positive was higher than that in the group with COX-2 negative (P0.01); there was significantly statistic correlation between the expression of COX-2 and CD105 in the laryngeal carcinoma; there was statistic correlation between the expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C in the laryngeal carcinoma(κ=0.521).Conclusions The expressions of COX-2,VEGF-C and CD105 have high degree of consistence in the laryngeal carcinoma, and with tumor lymph node metastasis state and TNM clearly related. For CD105-MVD higher patients and COX-2 and VEGF expression of double positive patients,we should closely follow up and pay attention to the early detection of cancer recurrence and lymph node metastasis to improve the treatment effect.
