Title: Floatation Separation of Lead(II) via Ammonium Sulfate-Dibromo-p-methylcarboxy-sulfonazo-Polyglycol System
Abstract: Lead(Ⅱ) can form precipitate with dibromo-p-methylcarboxysulfonazo and polyglycol. This precipitate can be floated quantitatively. The experimental results show that in a HAc-NaAc medium(pH=4.0) with (NH 4) 2SO 4 present, lead(Ⅱ) can be completely separated by floatation from Fe(Ⅲ), Cr(Ⅲ), Al(Ⅲ), Co(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Zn(Ⅱ), Mn(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ) and Hg(Ⅱ) within 5 min at room temperature. The great features of this method are simple, rapid and selective for lead(Ⅱ). It has been applied to the floatation of lead(Ⅱ) in synthetic water sample with satisfactory results.
