Title: Experimental observation on partial properties of an skin-mucous membrane iodine disinfection solution.
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To know the stability and germicidal efficacy of LIRCON AierⅡskin-mucous membrane iodine disinfection solution.METHODS A accelerated test was used to detect the stability. In the laboratory, suspension quantitative germicidal test and field trial were used to observe its germicidal efficacy.RESULTS After the stock solution of the disinfectant was stored at 37℃ for 90 days, its available iodine content decreased by 5.21%.The killing logarithm values of Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa exposed to the disinfection solution containing available iodine 998mg/L for 0.5 min were 5.00.The killing logarithm values of Candida albicans exposed to the disinfection solution containing available iodine 998mg/L for 0.5 min 4.00.The results of field trial indicated that wiping disinfection of adult hands and skins and dorsal skins of infants born for 3~30 days with the disinfectant containing available iodine 998mg/L for 1min resulted in a killing logarithm of the natural bacteria 1.00.CONCLUSION LIRCON iodine disinfection solution has good germicidal efficacy and good stability. Also,it was the suitable disinfection for dorsal skins of infants.
