Title: The Correlation Study between Enhanced CT and Angiogenesis in Peripheral Lung Adenocarcinoma
Abstract: Objective To study the relationship between enhanced CT findings and angiogenesis in peripheral adenocarcinoma.Materials and Methods VEGF expression level of tumor specimens were estimated with immunohistochemical SP method in 29 cases with peripheral lung adenocarcinoma. The microvessel density of lung cancer estimated by counting epithelial cells marked by FVⅢ-RA. Dynamic CT in 3 minutes was performed in 17 cases among all CT enhanced cases. Results The MVD was correlated positively (r=0.76) with VEGF in 29 cases of peripheral adenocarcinoma. The group with nodule metastases had higher MVD and percentage of VEGF++/+++ than that of without metastases (P0.05), and group of stage Ⅱ had higher MVD and percentage of VEGF++/+++ than that of stage Ⅰ (P0.01). Among those, the CT enhanced value within 3 minutes was correlated with MVD positively in 17 cases (r=0.73~0.84), the CT enhanced value of VEGF++/+++ group was higher than that of VEGF-/+ group significantly (P0.05).Conclusion The enhanced value of peripheral lung adenocarcinoma in 3 minutes was correlated positively with angiogenesis, and may indicate the degree of malignant of lung cancer.
