Methods: 32 cases of essential hypertension (EH) and 32 cases of normal control were measured by echocardiography in order to obtain their heart function indexes (the systolic function and diastolic function indexes). Results: The results of this study showed as follows:(1)The indexes of LVMI、IVS、PWT and RWT in cases of earlier phase of hypertension were obviously higher than those of normal group (P0.01). It indicated that the geometric shape and weight of left ventricle had changed, indicating that it produced remodeling. The indexes between LVMI and the diastolic function of left ventricle had significant positive correlation (P0.05 or P0.01); (2)The diastolic function of left ventricle changed before the systolic function of left ventricle. The indexes of diastolic function significantly changed than those of normal group(E decreased. A increased E/A and Ai/Ei changed, P0.05). Conclusions: (1)Left ventricular remodeling appeared in the early phase of hypertension; (2)The damage of left ventricular diastolic function appeared in the early stage of hypertension; LVMI was an independent index of those damageRead More
