Title: Analysis of wideband radar clutter and moving target detection based on real data
Abstract: This paper presents the analysis and process of a set of actual wideband radar returns, which are collected by a high-resolution X-band radar with the bandwidth of 1 GHz in a scenario of cloverleaf junction in a city.First, the amplitude distribution and Doppler spectrum of the clutter are analyzed, and a power-law form empirical Doppler spectrum is obtained. In the sequence, the wideband radar returns are processed by Doppler processing and Chirp-Z transform in sub-band domain for clutter suppression,Doppler dispersion compensation and coherent integration the target returns. The results show that this processing method reduced the clutter power significantly and enhanced the target returns.
