Title: Empirical Analyses of Information Consumption Demand of Rural Households Based on ELES Model
Abstract: An ELES model was established with the data about per capita annual net income, the per capita annual consumption expenditure including food, clothing, residence, household facilities and articles, health care and medical services, transport and communications education, culture and recreation and others in the China Statistical Yearbook 2013.Information consumption demand of rural residents was studied from the respects of the marginal propensity to consume,information purchasing power, income elasticity of demand and price elasticity of demand. The results showed that the information consumption demand level of rural residents was further enhanced. It is an important task to promote information consumption, increase the income of rural residents and expand the information of rural market.
