Title: THE CLINICAL RESEARCHES OF COMBINATION NERVER GROWTH FACTOR AND METHYCOBAL ON THE TREATMENT OF DIABETIC PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN) using nerve growth factor, together with mecobalamin.Methods:76 cases of DPN patients were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group and the control group. Each group were given mecobalamin and ordinary treatment. The 40 patients in the treatment group were given mouse nerve growth factor(9000AU),along with 500 mecobalamin(500μg).The two kinds of medicine were given through injection, once a day, lasting four weeks. The 36 patients in the control group were given mecobalamin(500μg) through injection, once a day, lasting four weeks. Results:the clinical symptoms in the treatment group were significantly relieved than those in the control group(p0.05),and the nerve conduction velocity in the treatment is improved, and is faster than that in the control group(p0.05).Conclusion: Compared with the sole use of mecobalamin, using Nerve Growth Factor together with Mecobalamin has better efficacy with no obvious adverse reaction, which concludes that it is an effective way to cure DPN,worthy to be applied in clinical practice.
