Title: Laparoscopic pyeloplasty for treatment of ureteropelvic junction(UPJ) obstruction
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate clinical efficiency of laparoscopic pyeloplasty for the treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction.Methods:19 patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction were underwent laparoscopical pyetoptasty (12 male, 7 female).Results:All operations were performed successfully.The mean operative time was 150min (110 to 240 min).The blood loss was 50 to 100 ml and mean postoperative hospitalization time was 7.8 days (6 to 10 days).No severe complication occurred.Postoperative pradiographic assessment by intravenous urography after 3 to 15 months showed good results.The hydronephrosis relieved and no ureteral stricture occurred.Conclusions:Laparoscopic pyeloplasty is an effective and safe way in treatinent of UPJ obstrnction while providing a miniinvasive procedure.It is a good way substitute for the open surgery
