Title: Constructing the System of Literary Value with Aesthetics as its Medium: How Literary Critique Should Deal with the Literary Configuration of Multiplicity
Abstract: With the relationship between the human beings and the objective world as its logical starting point, this paper analyzes the static and the dynamic processes of the literary activities and shows that the system of literary value is constituted by mutually interactive individual value and social value. On the basis of this, the coordinate of interpretation involving multiple values is erected with aesthetics as its medium. It is not desirable that the base point of aesthetic value of literature be simply taken or substituted for the notion closed between the writer and the text, nor is it desirable that the implications and modes of multiple values including politics, ethics, and other spiritual culture be investigated and analyzed directly with aesthetic value being discarded.Simultaneously, not only should the distinction and contradiction between the two basic orientations of value be emphasized,i.e.to satisfy the demands of people for basic feelings and to explore the in-depth human nature and the metaphysical significances, but also their“symbiosis”and the implicit structure of tension for balance keeping should be recognized. This way,the literary critique can assume the brand new situation which is open, multiple and benign while retaining the aesthetic features unique to literature.
