Title: Prevention of micro-ecological preparation on enteral nutrition related diarrhea in patients with mechanical ventilation
Abstract: Objective To study the preventive effect of micro-ecological preparation on enteral nutrition related diarrhea in patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods Eighty-nine patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into treatment group(n=44)and control group(n=45).All patients received nasal feeding with enteral nutrition, but treatment group accepted additional micro-ecological preparation for 7 days. The occurrence of diarrhea and dysbacteria, fecal S-IgA,and the time to reach standard amount of enteral nutrition were observed. Results Compared with control group, the occurrence of diarrhea and dysbacteria, and the time to reach standard amount of enteral nutrition decreased, but fecal S-IgA level on day 8 increased in treatment group [(1.713±0.241) vs(1.567±0.193) g/L,P0.01].Conclusion Micro-ecological preparation can prevent the alteration of intestinal flora, reduce the occurrence of diarrhea and enhance the administration of enteral nutrition in patients with mechanical ventilation.
