Title: Candidate Genes of Essential Hypertension in Chinese Han Population
Abstract: Essential hypertension is a polygenic disorder with genetic and environmental factors contributing to its high incidence and severe sequences.Studies about its candidate genes is the basis to elucidate its pathogenesiso, which signifies a bright future of gene therapy to essential hypertension. The correlation analysis of the strategy for candidate gene is the main approach at present.A lot of researches have revealed that the underlying genetic pathways of essential hypertension vary with ethnicity and nationality significantly. Therefore, the studies about essential hypertension candidate genes concerning different mechanisms as renin-angiotensin system and the gene-gene interaction in Chinese han population are reviewed in this article.
