Title: A Comparative Analysis on Three Chinese Versions of When You Are Old
Abstract: How to convey the original style of the poem is an important, complex and difficult problem in translation of poems. Take When You Are Old by William Butler Yeats for example, this paper will analyse its three different Chinese versions from Fuhao, Yuan Kejia and Bingxin, and respectively point out their characteristics. It also reveals that it is the difference of translator’s subjectivity that contributes to the different styles of different versions.
