Title: The Influence of Psychological Treatment on the Rehabilitation Effect of Post-traumatic Syndrome
Abstract: Objective: To investigate the influence of psychological treatment on the rehabilitation effect of post traumatic syndrome (PTS). Methods: 105 cases of PTS were randomly divided into treatment group (54 cases) and control group (51 cases). The patients in the two groups were subjected to a regular nonsurgical treatment of PTS, while the psychological treatment of PTS was given in the treatment group. The symptom checklist 90 was used to evaluate the physical symptoms and the psychological condition of all the cases at the beginning of the study and one month later. The functional status questionnaire (FSQ) was used to evaluate the ability of social activities of all the cases at the beginning of the study and 3 month later. Results: There was no significant difference in the above data between the control group and the treatment group at the beginning of the study ( P 0.05); The main unhealthy moods of all the patients were depression and anxiety. After the treatment, the physical symptoms and the psychological condition and ability of social activities in both groups were improved, but those in the treatment group were improved more significantly ( P 0.05, P 0.005). Conclusion: The introduction of psychological treatment can improve the rehabilitation effect of PTS.
