Methods:238 teeth of 149 patients were randomly divided into two groups:experimental group and control group. The canal length of experimental group was measured with electronic apex locator, while the control group's with radiography. All canals were prepared and filled with the same method. The obturation effect and postoperative reaction were recorded. Results:The rate of flush filled in experimental group is significantly lower than that in control group;the postoperative reaction in experimental group was significantly lighter than the control's. Conclusion:The electronic apex locator can measure root canal length rapidly, accurately and improve the quality of canal obturation.Read More
