Title: Effect of low temperature stress on membrane lipid peroxidation and protective enzyme activity of Cinnamomum camphora
Abstract: The effect of low temperature stress on membrane lipid peroxidation and protective enzyme activity in leaves of Cinnamomum camphora were studied with simulation low-temperature stress method(testing temperature was dropped from 0℃ to-25℃ gradually)in this paper. The results showed that the plasma membrane relative permeability in leaves of Cinnamomum camphora increased like a S-curve as the decreasing of temperature.Logistic equation showed that the semilethal temperature was-13.40℃.The content of MDA in the leaves increased, whereas proline, soluble sugar, the activity of SOD and POD in the leaves increased at first and then decreased as the temperature decreased.
