Title: Study on Cold Resistance of Cinnamomum camphora and Magnolia grandiflora in Natural Decreasing Process of Air Temperature
Abstract: [Objective] The aim was to study the difference of cold resistance of Cinnamomum camphora and Magnolia grandiflora in natural decreasing process of air temperature.[Method] With health leaves of C.camphora and M.grandiflora in xuzhou as the materials, the dynamic change laws of their cell membrane permeability, malondialdehyde content, superoxide dismutase activity and free proline conten in natural decreasing process of air temperature were studied.[Result] With the decrease of temperature, the cell membrane permeability and the contents of malondialdehyde and free proline of 2 tree species were all showed a trend of increase first then decrease, and the maximum of cell membrane permeability and free proline content of 2 tree species were all appeared in january. The superoxide dismutase activities of 2 tree species showed M curve change, and the superoxide dismutase activity of M.grandiflora was higher than that of C.camphora in the whole process.[Conclusion] The cold-resistance of M.grandiflora was stronger than that of C.camphora.
