Title: Investigation on the Mental Health of ICU Nurses and Influencing Factors
Abstract: Objective To study the mental health of the ICU nurses and influencing factors.Methods Sixty-two ICUnurses were tested by using SCL-90 and statistical analysis.The results were compared with Chinese women norms.Results Thescores of somatization,obsessive symptom,depression,anxiety and psychopathy in sixty-two ICUnurses were significantly higherthan the norms(P0.01);remarkable difference occurred to different age's nurses about somatization,obsessive symptom,de-pression and anxiety(P0.01,P0.05);for unmarried and married nurses,there was outstanding different in somatization,in-terpersonal relationship,anxiety,obsessive symptom,depression and psychopathy(P0.05,P0.01);different educationalqualifications and designations were obviously related to the scores of depression(P0.01);the nurses on variant duty had notabledifference in obsessive symptom,psychopathy,depression and anxiety(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion The mental healthlevels of ICU nurses are lower and influenced by age,marital statue,educational qualifications,designations and attendance state.They should be psychologically intervened.
