Method: 320 cases with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease were divided into fourgroups randomly, 80 cases in each group. Group A were treated with 10 mg/d atorvastatin, group B with 40 mg/d atorvastatin, group C with 80 mg/d atorvastatin and group D with the conventional therapy method, that is, cure medicine including Aspirin, nitrate, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor and so on. All were treated for 12 weeks. Then the pre/pro-therapy lever of the TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C and hs-CRP were compared between each group. Results: After 12 weeks, compared with the conventional therapy group D, the level change of the TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C and hs-CRP in the atorvastatin treated groups has statistical significance (P0.05). The 40 mg/d atorvastatin group got the best therapeutic efficacy in three dose groups (P0.05). The therapeutic efficacy has a negative correlation with the age of the case. While between the ages of 45 and 55, female patients got better therapeutic efficacy than male patients. For elderly patients, large dose of atorvastatin is obviously not as safe as the medium and small dose of atorvastatin. Conclusion: The medium dose of Atorvastatin got a significant therapeutic efficacy forthe acute coronary syndromes and it is very safe.Read More
