Title: Effects of Serum Uric Acid Levels on Level of Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients
Abstract: Objective To investigate the change of serum uric acid(SUA) levels in hypertension patients and study the clinical significance. Methods SUA levels of 300 hypertension patients(hypertentsion group) and 103 healthy physical examinees(control group) were measured. Results In hypertension group,SUA levels and detection ratio of Hyperuricemia were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.01),and the increase in SUA levels appeared to correlate with the severity of hypertension(P0.01).The frequency of hypertension in patients with hyperuricemia was higher than that in those with lower SUA levels(P0.01). Conclusion The increase of SUA levels is a risk factor of hypertension, and SUA levels appear to correlate with the severity of hypertension.
