Title: Clinical investigation of the correlation among hyperuricenlia and hypertension,coronary heart disease
Abstract: Objective: To study the correlation among hyperuricemia and hypertension, coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods: Serurn uric acid was measured respectively and compared in 40 patients with hypertension. 20 patients with CHD and 20 patienls as control subjects, who had been performed cholecystectomy. Results: The level of serum uric acid was significantly higher in patients with hypertension, CHD than those in control subjects, especially in patients with hypertension (P0. 01, 0. 05 respectivly) ; the level of total bilirubin had the similar result. Conclusion: There was an obvious correlation among hypertension, CHD and hyperuricemia, which was an independent risk factor in hypertension. So drugs being applied should have the function of not only reducing blood pressure but also to protect renal function reducing level of serum uric acid.
