Title: Theoretical study on hydrogen storage in single-walled boron nitride nanotubes
Abstract: The hydrogen storage in single-walled boron nitride nanotubes(SWBNNT) is simulated by Monte Carlo method on the condition of moderate pressure at normal temperature.The influences of tube diameter,tube length,tube chirality and pressure on hydrogen physisorption in SWBNNT are investigated emphatically.Compared with the hydrogen physisorption in single-walled carbon nanotubes,the hydrogen storage capability of SWBNNT is greater than the other.Our computational results show that the hydrogen storage capacity(mass percent) of SWBNNT at normal temperature and moderate pressure can reach the commercial standard,which is presented by the U.S.Department of Energy.
