Title: A reaseach about the role of serum uric acid in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the role of serum uric acid in the non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods A total of 40 patients with NAFLD alone,72 NAFLD patients withtype Ⅱ diabetes and 62 healthy controls were studied.Abdominal ultrasound was taken for fatty liver examination.Insulin levels were determined by radioimmunoassay(RIA).Insulin resistance indexes were assessed by the homeostasis assessment insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Other biochemical variables were measured by routine methods. Results Compared with healthy controls, the BMI,ALT,AST,TC,FBG,FINS,HOMA IR,HbA1C,UAlb/UCr and SUA significantly increased in NAFLD patients with type Ⅱ diabetes.Compared with NAFLD patients, insulin resistance was more serious in NAFLD with type Ⅱ diabetes.Correlation analysis showed FBG,HOMA IR and HbA1C were closely related with SUA.Conclusion Serum iron metabolism is closely related with insulin resistance. But whether the onset of NAFLD SUA independent risk factors that needs further research.
