Title: Acupuncture Combined and Chinese Medicine to Treat 47 Cases of Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia
Abstract: Objective:By comparing observation of acupuncture and Chinese medicine blood stasis syndrome of primary trigeminal neuralgia(TN) evaluate feasibility and effectiveness,designed to blood TN looking for a effective,safe,durable and less side effects clinical treatment model.Methods:96 cases met inclusion criteria TN patients were randomly divided into treatment and control groups,according to doctor order entry.The treatment group received acupuncture,traditional Chinese medicine combined with treatment of 47 cases were completed;the control group received a total of carbamazepine treatment of 44 patients completed a course of a month,using Huskisson visual analogue scales(VAS)and set the trigeminal nerve Pain symptoms were quantified formin 90 days after therapy evaluation,assessment and come to judge safety effect.Results:VAS pain improvement in both groups has no significant difference in efficacy rather(P0.05);two points quantify total effect of symptoms compared with no significant difference in efficacy rather(P0.05);the elimination of Clinical evidence of treatment group is obviously better than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment of blood stasis from TN to be decoction is effective,safe,and in elimination of insomnia,depression or irritability and evidence such as superior to carbamazepine.
