Abstract:Objective To investigate the protective effects of the 14-3-3 protein overexpression in neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y and its mechanisms.Methods 14-3-3 protein was transiently expressed in SH-SY5Y c...Objective To investigate the protective effects of the 14-3-3 protein overexpression in neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y and its mechanisms.Methods 14-3-3 protein was transiently expressed in SH-SY5Y cells with Lipotap.The effects of 14-3-3 expression on cell viability,apoptosis and intracellular ROS level were measured by MTT assay,Hoechst 33342 staining and flow cytometry analysis,respectively.Results MTT assay and flow cytometry analysis shows that the overexpression of 14-3-3 protein increases the cell viability,and inhibits the production of ROS.Conclusion The overexpression of 14-3-3 protein in SH-SY5Y cells plays a neuroprotective role,which is achieved by promoting the proliferation of SH-SY5Y cells and inhibiting the production of intracellular ROS.Read More
