Title: Expression and its clinical signification ofβ-catenin and anti-oncogene ING1 in lung carcinoma tissues
Abstract: Objective To investigate theβ-catenin(β-catenin) and the protein expression of anti-oncogene ING1 in lung cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect theβ-catenin and p33~(ING1)protein in 40 samples of lung cancer and 10 normal lung tissues, and analyzed the relationship between p33~(ING1)protein expression and pathological character of lung cancer. Results p33~(ING1)protein positive expression rate in lung cancer and normal lung tissues were 57.5% and 100.0%,respectively,there was statistical differences(P0.05).Positive rate of expression ofβ-catenin in the 40 samples of lung cancer was 81.2%,abnormal expression rate was 64.4%,there was positive correlation between p33~(ING1)and P-catenin positive expression rate(r=0.6324,P0.05).There were no relationship between p33~(INC1)expression and sex, age and pathological type of the disease(P0.05),but there were correlation between differentiation degree,TNM stage and nodal metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion There are close relationship between development of lung cancer and the abnormal expression of p-catenin and p33.It is important to detect the both expression levels of the p-catenin and p33~(ING1) for the early diagnosis of lung cancer, determine the degree of malignancy and gene mediated therapy.
