Title: Study on the Performance of Constant and Variable Water Flow under Part Load Conditions for Variable-frequency Chiller
Abstract: The chillers are usually operated under part load conditions, and according to the development of variable-frequency,more and more variable speed compressors and pumps were used in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. In this paper, the steady-state model of the refrigeration cycle was established and the RKS equation was introduced to calculate the thermophysical parameters accurately. The results indicated that the influences of constant and variable water flows on evaporating temperature were small when the chiller was operated under part load conditions, while the condensing temperature would decreased in varying degrees. At the same time, the energy-consumption proportion of cooling water system in the chiller should be carefully considered with respect to the energy-saving effect of variable water flow, the proportion was bigger, the effect of variable water flow was better.
