Title: Preparation of WO_3/TiO_2 solid acid and synthesis of hexyl butyrate
Abstract: A new bimetal solid acid catalyst WO3/TiO2 was synthesized with WO3 as active component.Hexyl butyrate was synthesized from butyric acid with n-hexanol as the catalyst.The effects of various factors such as WO3 content,calcination temperature of the catalyst,catalyst dosage,molar ratio of n-hexanol to butyric acid and reaction time on esterification rate were investigated.The results indicated that suitable conditions of the catalyst obtained were:WO3 50%,calcination at 500 ℃ for 2.0 h.The optimized conditions of synthesizing hexyl butyrate were∶molar ratio of n-hexanol to butyric acid 2.0,reaction time 90 min,cyclohexane 10 mL and catalyst dosage 2.0 g,esterification rate was 98.8%.The catalyst also had excellent stability.After the catalyst was used for 5 times,the esterification rate could still reach 87.6% all the same.
