Title: Chinese Understanding of the World Situation in Late Qing Dynasty
Abstract: After the Opium War, with China passively involving into the capitalist world system, Chinese people began to observe and understand the modern world. Using various words, the intellectuals of different times described and judged the world situations in different ways, which revealed indirectly the changing of Chinese spiritual state and cultural ideas in late Qing Dynasty.
