Title: Expression and significance of MVD marked by CD105 in the tissue of breast carcinoma
Abstract: Objective:To study the expression of CD105 in breast cancer and to explore the correlation between the expression of CD105 and biological factors and prognosis of breast cancer. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the expression of CD105, IL-8, VEGF, ER and PR in breast carcinoma. Results: ①The count of the microvessel density (MVD) which was marked by CD105 in breast cancer tissues was 0~17.67, the median was 5.33. ②The expression of MVD was correlated positively with the VEGF and IL-8, rs=0.361, 0.359, both P=0.000. ③The expression of MVD was associated with the axillary lymph node metastasis, the different histological grade, the clinical stage (P0.05). ④The expression of MVD was associated with prognosis of breast cancer, P=0.004. ⑤The expression of MVD was not related to ER, PR, the tumor diameter and the pathology type (P0.05). Conclusion: The expression of MVD marked by CD105 in breast carcinoma has closed relationship with prognsotic factors, and can be used as an index for predicting the prognosis.
