Title: Comparative study of citalopram and citalopram combined with quetiapine in treatment of somatoform disorders
Abstract: Objective: To study the clinical effects and safety of citalopram combined with quetiapine in treatment of somatoform disorders.Methods: 76 patients were assigned to citalopram(control group,n=39) and citalopram combined with quetiapine(study group,n=37),and treated for 8 weeks.Before treatment and at the end of 1st,2nd,4th and 8th week after treatment,the clinical effects and side effects were assessed with HAMD,SCL-90,TESS.Results: The score of SCL-90 and HAMD after the treatment of the study group and control group were lower than that before treatment,which had a significant difference(P0.05).At the end of 8th week,effective rates of the study group and control group were 67.6% and 43.6% respectively,which had a significant difference(P0.05).There was difference in the effective time of drugs of the two groups(P0.05).Side effects of both two groups were milder,most occurred in the initial stage of treatment and gradually remitted via expectant treatment.Conclusion: Citalopram combined with quetiapine in treatment of somatoform disorders takes effects better and faster than single citalopram and doesn't increase side effects.
