Title: Dyeing properties of anthocyanin dye from grape seeds to wool fabrics
Abstract: Dyeing properties of the anthocyanin dyes extracted from grape seed, such as heat-,acid-and alkali-resistance are investigated.Effects of dyeing temperature and pH value of dye bath on the dyeing results are studied. The color fastness and UV resistance of the wool dyeings with the optimized direct dyeing process are tested. The results show that the grape seed dyes have good stability to heat and acid, but poor stability to alkali.Wool fabrics can be dyed with direct dyeing,pre-mordant or after-mordant dyeing methods, and different shade are available using different dyeing methods and media.Grape seed dyes feature good dyeing behavior when direct dyeing at 100 ℃ with pH value 3~6.The dyed wool fabrics have good soaping, rubbing, sublimation fastness and UV resistance.
