Abstract: Objective To study clinical efficacy of nifedipine and irbesartan in the treatment of 116 cases of patients with hypertension and diabetes. Method 120 patients were admitted to our hospital with hypertension and diabetes, were randomly divided into study group and control group 60 cases, patients were given hypoglycemic therapy, the control group received irbesartan treatment, study group received nifedipine on the basis of the control group, the clinical efficacy of two groups were compared, blood pressure, urine albumin and adverse reactions. Results The overall response rate was 93. 3%( 56 /60),which was significantly higher than 76. 7%( 46 /60),the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05); groups of patients blood pressure and urinary albumin were lower than before treatment, compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05),and the research group of blood pressure and urinary albumin was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05); adverse reactions between the two groups was not statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Nifedipine and irbesartan in the treatment of hypertension and diabetes have better clinical efficacy, better blood pressure control.
