Title: Clinical application of the apurinic / apyrimidinic endonuclease / redox factor-1
Abstract: Apurinic / apyrimidinic endonuclease / redox factor-1(APE/Ref-1),as a kind of multifunctional protein, plays an essential role in such processes as the repair of oxide-or alkylation-induced DNA damage and the regulation of redox reaction and other biological actions.Citing numerous reports published at home and abroad, based on the structures and functions of APE/Ref1,this paper analyzes the relationship of APE/Ref-1 with tumor, cardiovascular disease, and central nervous system disease, and proposes that APE/Ref-1 as a new marker, has a great application potential in clinical research.
