Title: Noninvasive Fungal Sinusitis Treated by Nasal Endoscopic Surgery
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of nasal endoscopic surgery for noninvasive fungal sinusitis.Methods:The study was performed retrospectively and includes 64 noninvasive fungal sinusitis patients who were undergone nasal endoscopic surgery between 1999 and 2004 followed by regular management under nasal endoscopic for 6~18 months post-surgery.Results:All patients recovered in 12~24 months follow-up with primary cure of 59 cases,postponed cure of 4 cases and relapse of 1 case which had to suffer second surgery.Conclusion:Nasal endoscopic surgery is an available technique for treating noninvasive fungal sinusitis and post-surgery follow-up is important for preventing relapse of fungal sinusitis.
