Title: Clinical Evaluation for Effect of Rhubarb & Eupolyphage sinensis Pills on Anti-fibrosis in Liver
Abstract: ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical curative effect of Rhubarb eupolyphage sinensis pills(RESP,Dahuang Zhechoug Wan) on anti-fibrosis in liver during the treatment with chronic hepatitis B.MethodsRhubarb eupolyphage sinensis pills(RESP) were added during the conventional treatment with liver protection in 45 patients with chronic hepatitis B,while the conventional treatment with liver protection along in another 45cases with chronic hepatitis B was compared.ResultsThere was analogous curative effect with liver protection and prognosis,no significant discrepancy between the two groups(PO.05).The serum liver fibrosis markers, including hyaluronic acid(HA);laminin(LN);procollagen III N-terminal peptide(PIIIP);type IV collage(IV-C);choly-l-glycine(CG) were more obviously improved in RESP group than those in control group(P(0.05)).ConclusionThe curative effect of RESP on anti-fibrosis was obvious, which was directly related to improving the blood circulation, dispersing blood staganation, doing away with the extravased blood, diving witness-heatevil and the virus and obviously inhibiting tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase, and not to the conventional liver-protective therapy.
