Title: Isosorbide dinitrate combined cardiotonics and diuretic for treatment of congestive heart failure in 97 patients
Abstract: The 236 patients with congestive heart failure were divided into 2 groups: (A) 139 patients(M 102, F 37; age44 ± 10 a)were treated with digoxin 0.125-0.25 mg qd or bid and hydrochloro-thiazide 50-100 mg qd po; and(B) 97 patients(M 73, F 24; age 47± s 10 a)were given isosorbide dinitrate 10 mg, 3-6 times/d in addition. The courses of treatment were ≥ 3 wk in both groups. The results showed better cardiac functions and lower heart failure scores in group B than group A.
