Title: Comparison of the therapeutic effect between captopril and digoxin in congestive heart failure
Abstract: Among sixty-five patients with congestive heart failure (M 42, F23;age 58 ?9a), 33 patients were treated with po captopril 25-50 mg tid, and 32 patients were treated with po digoxin 0,125-0.25 mg bid-tid; the dosage was decreased when the symptoms were controlled, all for 4-12 wk. Results showed that total response rate were 91 % and 78 %, respectively. Cardiac function were assessed by two-dimensional pulse echocardiography. Left ventricular systolic function parameters (FS, EF, SI, CI)in both groups were improved (P0. 01). The left ventricular diastolic function parameters (peak A, A/E ratio, AI/TVI ratio, PFR, NPFR) in the captopril group were also improved (P0. 01), but not in the digoxin group (P0. 05).
