Title: The effect of Sealer on root surface temperature and root tip penetration in injectable root canal filling with hot gutta-percha
Abstract: Objective To explore the root canal sealer injecting warm gutta root canal filling root end microleakage and root canal surface temperature. Methods Selected 20 families root from full body single tube permanent teeth as the research object, Obtura Ⅱsystem was used for heating the gutta-percha, the temperature reached 180 ℃ and then be root canal filling, 20 teeth were divided into the control group and study group randomly, according to the applica-tion of sealant before filling status, and then study group was divided into group A( n = 8, before filling does not apply sealers), group B(n = 8, before filling blocking agent), determination of the two groups before and after filling the root canal surface temperature, and determination filling 10 d, 20 d, 30 d after apical microleakage occurred. Results Before and after filling, the temperature of group A and group B were significantly increased, but the increase in the average was less than 10℃, filling before and after, temperature of A, B two groups and root canal microleakage at 10, 20, 30 days, the difference were not significant(P all 0.05). Conclusion Injectable gutta hot when root canal filling, the root canal surface temperature, the degree of microleakage after filling were not statistically significant, ever sealing agent is used or not.
