Title: Distribution and antibiotic resistance of acinetobacter baumannii,2009-2013
Abstract: Objective To investigate the distribution and antibiotic resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from inpatients from 2009 to 2013. Methods We analyzed retrospectively the distribution and the antimicrobial resistance of Acinetobacter baumanni isolated from inpatients during 2009 to 2013. The drug resistance to 10 kinds of common antibiotics of Acinetobacter baumannii was tested by methods the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC), and some antimicrobial susceptibility test used K-B.Results A total of 1200 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii were separated and the number and proportion were showed an increasing trend from 2009 to 2011. The top three types of specimens were sputum(82.83%), excreta and blood. Acinetobacter baumannii was highly resistant to most of clinical antibiotics and some of antibiotics showed a gradually increasing trend. Its resistance to imipenem, cefoperazone/shubatan, piperacillin/shubatan showed rising trends year by year. Its resistance to ciprofloxacin was the highest, up to 77.27%. Conclusion The antibiotic drug resistance of Acinetobacter baumanni showed an increasing trend. The monitoring of Acinetobacter baumannii resistance to drugs should be strengthened. Clinical doctors should emphasize microbioiogical culture and drugs using should be based on antimicrobial susceptibility results.
