Title: Causes and countermeasures of dysuria after transurethral resection of prostate
Abstract: Objectives: To investigate the causes and countermeasures of dysuria after transurethral resection of benign prostatic hyperplasia,in order to investigate the prevention of operative complications and choose best curative countermeasure. Methods: The situation of 15 patients,chosen from 356 benign prostatic hyperplisa pa-tients,with dysuria after transurethral resection was summarized and analyzed. They were separately given treatment of urethral dilatation,cold incision,transurethral resection endoscopy according to different positions and causes of dysuria. Results: Symptoms of the 15 patients with dysuria all obviously alleviated or disappeared,with no severe complications such as uracratia. Conclusions: Earnest evaluation before operation,managing operative methods and skills and careful observation in the operation are the effective ways to prevent dysuria after operation. Urethral dilatation and transurethral resection are the main therapeutic methods for urethrostenosis with satisfied curative effects in most patients.
