Title: Cause and treatment of dysuria after transurethral prostatectomy
Abstract: Objective:To study the cause and treatment of dysuria after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP).Methods:The clinical date of 21 patients of benign prostatic hyperplasia after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP) were analyzed retrospectively.Results: The cause of dysuria after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP) were urethral edema for 6 cases,residual prostatic hyperplasia for 2 cases,urethual stricture for 5 cases,bladder neck restriction for 3 cases and neuropathic bladder dysfunction for 5 cases.20 cases had been cured,1 cases had been treated with cystostomy.Conclusions:The main cause of dysuria after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP) were urethral edema,residual prostatic hyperplasia,urethual stricture,bladder neck restriction and neuropathic bladder dysfunction.The key to prevention is correct preoperative examination and correct operational or postoperative treatment.
