Title: Optimization of microwave-assisted extraction of flavonoids from Cephalanoplos segetam using response surface analysis
Abstract: In order to maximize the yield of flavonoids from Cephalanoplos segetam, single factor experiments and response surface methodology(RSM) are employed to optimize the microwave-assisted extraction conditions. The results indicate that the optimum extraction condition are as follows:microwave power 300 W,extraction time 10 min,70% alcohol as solvent, extraction temperature at 70 ℃ and ratio of material to solvent 1∶70(g·mL-1).Under these conditions, the practical yield of flavonoids is 29.95 mg·g-1,which is consistent with the predicted yield of flavonoids of 28.77 mg·g-1.Compared with the traditional solvent extraction techniques,a short application of microwave increase the yield of flavonoids greatly and have shorter extraction time. The microwave-assisted extraction technology of flavonoids from Cephalanoplos segetam is stable and feasible, this shows the obvious advantages and great potential of microwave-assisted extraction of the flavonoids from the plants.
