Title: Properties of FSW joints in aluminum alloy thick plates based on welding robot
Abstract: 5083 aluminum alloy thick plates of 35 mm were once but welding by friction stir welding based on welding robot.And the microstructure,mechanical properties and corrosion resistance were tested and contrast analyzed comparing the common friction stir welding equipment.The results showed that compared with the common friction stir welding equipment,the new-type of friction stir welding equipment based on welding robot could make the joint efficiency increase from 66%to 94%,make yield strength increase by 39 MPa,make elongation increase by 6.6%and change the corrosion potential of joint from 315 mV to positive direction.
